Vote for Me, or not
I was surprised to learn that I have been nominated for the KBCafe Blog Awards in the category of Best Library Blog. You can vote for me or against me here. I am a little surprised because I don't really consider this blog to be a library blog. The two other blogs nominated are real library blogs. Maybe my recent spate of librarian postings had something to do with it. You can vote only once (I gather from the same IP address) until 6:00 PM PST on New Year's Eve. Happy Voting.

i actually was a reader of a friend's friend "library" blog for quite a while, as well. hers wasn't much about libraries either. but i'm guessing being a librarian makes you kind of a polymath? or you are a polymath, so you became a librarian?
i had a journalism professor once who explained to me that being a reporter makes you a mini-expert on a large amoung of subjects--picture the long cross on top of a "T". then look at the little stem (or vice versa. whatever). that's how much we reporters know about any one subject in depth. i feel like you gotta be at least a little in this situation in your profession, nu?

mcbickle: there may be something in that, but I am not 100% sure. perhaps we know something about everything, but not a lot about anything.

You have a unique writing style that would do well on a get paid to write blogging site where I am a member.
The money earned will never make anyone rich but I have always managed to make a few bucks above and beyond my small membership fees.
