Where have I been? you might ask

Well, I had a kind of a busy week last week, although I am not sure if I accomplished anything. In fact, I might even have difficulty saying why it was busy. It sure seemed busy at the time. I have nothing to say, really. After all, it is the weekend, and I so rarely post on weekends, preferring to sleep and eat.

But, I do have a cold, my second in a row without any interruption. Colds suck. I hate you, cold virus.

So, the photo on the right (© 2004 Zydeco Fish, by the way) is from a series of colour photos I did a while back. I was never very happy with this one, but I like the alien quality it has.

And that's all I am going to say today.

Whohooo- I'm the virgin poster today. (Am in a weird mood.) Sorry you're still under the weather Z-fish. Two in a row is the armpits. :(

Your photo looks like a toy doll. It is so clear it could be an ad! I particularly like the background you used! :)
Peak colour finally occurred in our area, but it was an awful autumn here for colour spread. Still, I shot a ton of photos trying to capture something worthwhile. What kind of camera(s) do you use?

I have many many cameras. That one was taken with a Nikon FM. I use a Holga, a Lomo, and a bunch of rangefinders, mostly.

I've been dealing with a cold that I can't shake for about three weeks now. I finally decided to try out that Cold FX stuff. I was sceptical. I am still sceptical. But it seems to be helping.

Or maybe the cold has just finally run its course.

The alien look for me is secondary to the damaged right arm--very freaky. Any chance that the rest of the series could be posted sometime?

Dude. Why do you have dolls?

Welcome back!

Hey there's this ointment I swear by, it's called BOROLEUM, most pharmacies carry it. Clean out your nose and rub a gob of the stuff all in your snoot and septum. It is slightly mentholated and protects and moisturizes your sinuses. I find this helps a lot in helping get over colds as well as preventing them. That, and well the obvious: washing hands frequently, chicken soup, echinacea, vitamin c, zinc, and keeping yourself hydrated:)

Get well soon!

Eeeeeeeeww. Creepy baby.

There's just something about a hairless, naked plastic baby that freaks me out. Always has.

I love it, it is creepy though, but I was brought up watching old " Chucky" Movies on HBO so there ya go.

You use rangefinders?

Amazing photo! And I agree...creepy. Bald dolls. And what's with your immune system, man? The cold virus has it out for you...

Alien indeed. Yes we've been receiving errant signals from the beta-five-sector mark 1.3 alpha parsec-5.3 part of the galaxy for a good while now.

I mean are these creatures for real- 2 eyes how scary.

I think these signals are from the UPS Endeavor 5503 that was lost in that quadrant years ago. One of the crew members was pretty good with the computer graphics and was putting himself through college by delivering postage. He wanted to go into the movies. Apparently, a lot of this junk was his senior design project in graphics using genetic algorithms to create viable new life forms under simulated conditions. Most of its crap, buy hey, that "three stooges" stuff is pretty good.

Anyhow, I hope they get a rescue ship out to him soon.

Peace out.

The picture is creepy but also makes me want to look at it longer. It looks like a still shot from a horror movie.

Hope you feel better. Try that stuff that you gob in your snot... then tell us about it.

Andy: maybe.

MK: That's a secret.

Cooper: yes, rangefinders rock.

"They" say that there are only approximately 250-300 cold viruses and once you have one you can't catch it again. It is the explanation they give for the fact that the elderly get so few colds. So, "always look on the bright side of life" and take this as another one down and only, uh, how many left?

If I saw that doll in a dark room, I would FREAK OUT!

When are they going to find a cure for the common cold already? There's something about that picture, eh? Cute and creepy. Though I think the collective consciousness has found dolls creepy ever since the Chucky movies.
