New Order: The Peel Sessions (1987)

This is the first Peel Session recorded, but it was second one released. It contains Truth, Senses, I.C.B., and Dreams Never End. Mine (a Canadian pressing) has a delete drill hole, meaning that it was remaindered. And now, this is pricey.

New order: The Peel Sessions (1986)

This EP contains the tracks for the second Peel Session, broadcast on June 1, 1982. I have the original UK pressing. The tracks are:

Turn The Heater On
We All Stand
Too Late
5-8-6

The first track is a cover version, written by Jamaican reggae star, Keith Hudson. This EP is simply awesome.

Joy Division: The Peel Sessions (1986)

My copy is the first UK pressing, in nearly mint condition. This 45 RPM EP contains four tracks: Exercise One (spelled correctly), Insight, She's Lost Control, and Transmission. Here is some stuff from the rear of the cover:

Recorded 31st January 1979.
First transmission 14th February 1979.

This is a record that I rarely see in the shops, though it seems a copy is readily available on Discogs. In this condition, it will probably cost you about $50.

Joy Division: The Peel Sessions (1987)

This is the second Peel Sessions release, again with four tracks. My copy is the first UK pressing with the Special Metallic Finish Limited Edition Sleeve. The tracks are: Love Will Tear Us Apart, 24 Hours, Colony, and Sound of Music. From the rear jacket:

Recorded: 26th November 1979
First transmission: 10th December 1979

The version of Love Will Tear Us Apart on this EP is untouchable.

PJ Harvey: The Peel Sessions (1991-1994) (2006/2021)

The original pressing of this record is insanely expensive, running up to $500 from some sellers, though I am sure you could get on for. less. I got this repressing for 30% off, making it a real steal.

Billy Bragg: The Peel Sessions (1987)

In 1991, another LP entitled The Peel Sessions Album was released on various formats, the CD version of which contains the entire contents of this brief six-track record. I have the CD version of the aforementioned album. The six tracks on this release are:

A New England
Strange Things Happen
This Guitar Says Sorry
Love Gets Dangerous
Fear Is A Man's Best Friend
A13, Trunk Road To The Sea

I couldn't believe that Bragg covered John Cale. To me, that was unexpected, and it's not a bad version at all, though quite different from the original.
