Do You Pee in the Shower?

Some time ago, I read that a large percentage of people admitted to urinating while in the shower. It never occurred to me that this was an option. So, my question is, do you pee in the shower? Be honest. I really want to know.

Naw, I'd think that would stink up the shower or something? Plus, half the time my drain isn't doing it's draining job completely...so I'd be like...standing in it.

I do all the time...why not?

Can't say that I do. But will be extra sure to wear shower shoes next time I shower at the gym.

In a public shower, no. At home, if I'm in the shower and I have to piss, there is no point getting out my shower, drying off, sitting my damp ass on the seat, then jumping back in the shower. I mean, don't all the pipes go to to same place?
I know you all have done it at least once, even if you know Jesus was watching. Even Jesus shits.

No, not since I was a kid. If I have to go, I just hold it til I'm finished showering.

Once. I was at a water park, and the line for the stalls was super long, and there was plenty of available showers...I had to shower anyway, so I did pee in the shower. I am neurotic, and I was happy I had flip flops on, just in case.

Si, aveces y siempre tengo la impresión de que no se va del todo por el cifon y siento que los pies se me quedan sucios. Es incomodo, pero a veces no hay más opción, no hay tiempo.

my toilet is about 6" away from the shower, I can stand in the shower and still in piss in the toilet, so my answer is no.

Ugh, no, and neither has Fuzzy. In the Ocean, sure, but nowhere attached to plumbing other than the proper receptacles.

My dog, however, leaves presents in the shower when she's mad at us.

Don't make a habit out of it but it does happen. I hope my wife doesn't check these comments though because she's a bit paranoid about that sort of thing.

She actually feel for the tale about if you peed in the pool a it'd turn purple and everybody would know it was you.

Urine is 100% sterile. As long as it gets rinsed away, it is not a hazard. You're sloughing off skin if you use exfoliant soap, and lather from shampoo and stuff is all worse than sterile urine.

It's only when left standing that urine starts to get bad : because nutrients in the urine are good for bacteria to colonise. But since the water all gets rinsed away it shouldn't be a problem. I mean, you do clean out your shower a couple times a week anyway, right?

Is it a guy thing? - Im not a guy, and if the need takes me then........... Always make sure loads of water flushes it away afterwards tho.
My kids have occasionally done wee-wee in the bath water tho, and thats not something I would recommend.
Peeing in the swimming pool is disgusting. People put their faces in it.

Sure, I do all the time. It all goes down the drain anyhow. Besides, it saves me the time from getting out of the slippery shower and falling on my ass trying to get to the toilet :P

There are some very simple bathroom rules:
1. Don't eat anything in the bathroom.
2. Use two towels. One for you and for for those private parts. The only alternative to this is a very strict regimen of drying order that is available upon request.
3. Use every place in the bathroom for its designated purpose. ie. shower, to wash and rinse one's body parts; sink, to wash and rinse one's hands, face, and teeth brushing; toilet, to deposit various bodily fluids and solids. It is also imperative that any spitting and nose blowing not be done in the shower. This is for no other reason than because I SAID SO!!

Never. Nor has it ever occured to me to do so.

As a kid I peed in the sea, but I figure everyone did that :-)

Never tried it, but surely does sound interesting. An open option to try out!

"They say there's actually some value in it that something in the urine kills the athletes foot fungus."

LOL that cracked me up!

I was just discussing this with some friends the other night, in HS my Bible teacher (small private school) openly admitted to peeing in the shower - he was a bizarre man.

I don't pee as a rule in the shower, but I have a couple of times.

tj is right - the uric acid kills athlete's foot fungus. They used to tell soldiers to do it to keep their feet fungus free and probably still do. If you think that's a little gross, think about the people who drink a glass of their own brand daily, for health reasons. Hey, it's sterile, won't kill you, and can keep you alive if there's no water.

Anyway, I pee in the shower occasionally. (My own, never a public one.) Just don't tell my wife.

More often than not- it's sterile, it washes away and it feels good! I try not to do it at the gym since I saw a Seinfeld episode on this issue.
Me and some friends came up with a theory that it's a class thing: ie the working class and owning class usually answer 'or course' and the middle class say, 'you can pee in the shower?'.

I've never done that, but I'm going to try it right now.

Yes! It isn't fair that men were given the equipment to whiz conveniently from wherever they happen to be, while we women always have to plan ahead. The shower is really the only unusual place women get to pee, so I'm taking advantage of the opportunity, thanks.

I like to pee BEFORE showering. That way after I wash my nether regions, I will be fresh as a daisy...for a while at least...

when i shower alone, sure i do. why not? it's got a drain & water, soap.

do you wash your butt after a bowel movement? (just curious)

dabydeen said...

No. To me, that would be like showering in the can after using it.

I don't pee in the shower. I don't bathe in the toilet, either.
