Golf

I happened to catch a bit of the US Open on TV on Sunday. My opinion of golf has improved over the years, such that I am not terribly bored when watching it. I am not sure that I will run out and buy clubs, but you never know. Curling, if you ask me, is much more engaging to watch.

My question of the day is, why would anyone watch golf in person? It's one of those sports that is massively improved by TV, like the marathon of even speed walking, though that sport makes me laugh.

Now, I must get back to work after this brief post-weekend post.

Golf on TV is an excellent soundtrack for a Sunday afternoon nap.

Someday I'll understand curling.

Ah - Kate beat me to the comment but yes, I have to agree, golf is one of the best Sunday afternoon nap soundtracks. Bowling is a close second.

Perhaps it is improved greatly by being on TV, but it's not improved nearly enough for me to consider watching. Although, I'm not a fan of any sport on TV, except maybe Soccer.

Golf in person, golf on TV...still not much of a spectator sport. I golfed twice. I was so bad they made me drive with a nine iron. It was pathetic. I agree that curling is far more interesting. I've curled just once, and I had the best time!
