I am not an Artist, but I Pretend to be one in the Blogosphere

Yeah, I painted that.

(By the way, I did post another painting last year)

In other news, I am thinking about changing my template again. I am kinda tired of this one and far too many other people are using it. I may go for all black. Too bad I am too lazy to make my own.

I did another one of those tests, and now I know I am going to die at age 84. Fortunately, that's a very long way away. My grandmother is 86 and still very much alive, so I am holding out hope that I will live past 84. I have a lot to do, like gain advanced degrees in astrophysics and neurology, write a novel, and go into space.

I am going to die at 84. When are you? Click here to find out!

Very good. I had no idea you were that artistically inclined.

I like your painting. It's dark, but some light is peeking through.

As for dying at 84, that's pretty good.

I love the parrot hanging upside down.

Oh, god, not black.

The painting looks to me like I am laying under someone sitting in a lawn chair. And they are breaking it. And wearing yellow. I've never been in that position, but I'm pretty sure that's what it would look like if I were. Yet, the painting doesn't scare me, and I think that the situation described would.

I'm going to die at age 82.

I was going to post my most recent painting on my blog to copy you, but my camera broke. Not kidding.

Ithink you should keep this template, it's easy to read. those black ones can be difficult for us old geezers to read!

I am going to die at 72. It is a family tradition. My great grandfather died at 72. My grandfather died at 72. Both my uncles died at 72. My dad died at 72. I think I detect a pattern here!

I'm with GWB, black's hard to read.
Although GWB would have an easier time of it, if he had BIFOCALS!

Damn, man. Ya got me beat on the death march by 12 years...;)

Love the painting.

There are a lot of good templates out there.

Nice painting by the way!

But the real question, do you really want to be 84?

My camera's not broken! It just has a crappy battery door. Oh, and I think your template's fine. I know a lot of people who have black one's too. I don't think you can use a blogger template and expect it to be original.

Wow thats really cool, I wish I could paint. Maybe some day.

Jeff: Yes, I want to be even older than 84.

Fish - I like it. Don't know what the painting looks like in full scale & real life, but on the blog pic it reminds me of photo's of earth taken from way out there in space.

I'm an artist who pretends not to be an artist just to confuse people. ;)
I've yet to link my professional site to my blog sites.
I like the free, loose strokes in your painting. It also reminded me of the world even before reading about life expectancy in your post. (I have no idea if it is supposed to, but art is subjective...)Is this your depiction of the end of the world, the state of the world, or none of the above?

I have never liked the finite aspect of life because I love living. There's so much to explore, uncover, tackle, etc. That's the only part about "aging' that can get to me. (I don't care about the "number.") I'd ponder that my life would end someday even when I was only 12. Then I hoped to live to over 130 or 140 or whatever age those people lived to in the book Lost Horizon. I thought that book was cool for many reasons.
Sounds like you have good genes with grandparents in their 80's!
